Arctic Biodiversity "Through the Lens"
In celebration of the Arctic Biodiversity Congress, the CAFF International Secretariat, in cooperation with sponsors, launch the Arctic Biodiversity "Through the Lens" photography competition.
The eyes of the world are turning northwards. Arctic landscapes, wildlife, cultures and light have inspired people since time immemorial. The Arctic Biodiversity "Through the Lens" photography competition will celebrate the beauty of the Arctic as experienced by photographers of all skill levels.
Participating in the competition
The competition is open to all photography enthusiasts from across the world, provided that the image is taken within CAFF border (see right).
The competition welcomes entries across four categories;
- A) Arctic biodiversity
- B) Landscape in the Arctic
- C) Peoples of the North
- D) Business and science in the Arctic
There will be one prize winner per category. One grand prize winner will be chosen from submissions by all participants over the age of 18. There will be two "youth" winners one under the age of 14 and one under the age of 18 which will be chosen among submissions.
Each photographer may submit up to seven images per category.
Winning and selected images will be displayed in an exhibit at the Arctic Biodiversity Congress, December 2-4 2014, in Trondheim, Norway, and will be exhibited across Arctic countries.
